After the demise of the Danville passenger stations in the 1950s this little shack took over the freight station duties and served until 2009 when the Danville diamond was removed and the SLR main would now go through where it had been. Danville Jct is at 40 Grain Mill Rd, Auburn, ME 04210, (coordinates 44.022040, -70.265613) mp 167.5. Now the track car shed does the service.
Grain Mill Rd. is thought to be a private road on private property. When I park there I don't go more than three or four car lengths in so that I don't upset the locals.
